05/12/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Glen Allen (Richmond), VA Devin is a young, 2-way player with a thin frame. At 2nd base, Devin shows soft / sure hands, active footwork, and he presents his glove well. He squares up well to the ball, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy from a long arm action. In the OF, Devin makes plays, keeps the ball in front, and throws with accuracy from a short arm action. Offensively, Devin has a square set-up, a short stride, and good balance. He puts the ball in plays and swings a level stick. Abilities can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
