08/01/2010 - College Prep Super Regional - West Lawn, PA - AM Devyn is a tall, lean, 2-way player that plays 2nd base and RHP. He currently projects even at both positions. In the INF, Devyn moves well laterally, fields the ball out in front of his body, and he plays through well. He has good momentum toward his target, gets rid of it quickly, and throws accurately across the diamond. Lighter feet and added arm strength will help defensive grades get better. On the mound, Devyn has good direction toward the plate and a long / loose arm action. He has a nice 12-6 CB, and shows to be effective on the hill. Pitching abilities can get better if Devyn can avoid throwing across his body and finish off his pitches better. We feel there is more in the tank. At the plate, Devyn has a good balance and a good approach. He has a loose grip, good barrel accuracy, and he lets the ball travel deep. Hitting can continue to improve if Devyn can keep his hands high and use more lower 1/2.
