12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory Holiday Classic at Pirate City Diego is a second baseman from Doral, Florida, set to graduate in 2026, who recently honed his abilities at the Baseball Factory Pirate City Holiday Camp. Defensively, Diego creates solid fielding angles and works efficiently from right to left, fielding from a low, on-time position. He generates momentum on his throws and demonstrates good touch on his double play feeds, making him a reliable presence in the infield. As a right-handed hitter, Diego starts in an open stance and takes an aggressive swing while maintaining strong plate discipline. In live game action, he reached base with two singles, two walks, and was hit by a pitch, showing his ability to get on base in various ways. On the base paths, Diego is aggressive and looks to capitalize on any opportunity. With another season of growth and development, Diego’s overall skill set will continue to improve, and he has a bright future ahead on both offense and defense.

09/22/2024 - National Showcase - Jupiter, FL Diego is a 2026 shortstop and outfielder who demonstrates strong skills and potential in both positions. In the outfield, he starts with a good prep step and quick feet, displaying impressive agility. He executes a clean exchange off his left foot, delivering online throws into the infield with a rapid release. At shortstop, he effectively creates fielding angles and shows an ability to pick out hops while fielding from an athletic, low position. His accurate throws across the diamond and solid double play feeds highlight his defensive prowess. As a right-handed hitter, he has a fluid rhythm, driving the bat through the zone to hit line drives to all fields. Continued growth and development will further enhance his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
