Academic All-American Tournament (MS) Diego is a SS/RHP prospect in the class of 2025. On the mound, he showed the ability to pitch with all 3 of his pitches. Worked his FB up to 70mph. Showed good feel and command for his 11-5 shaped breaking ball. Worked mainly on the outer half to hitters. At the plate, he showed good pull side pop. Started in a tall and open stance before doing a good job of activated his hands and lower half during his load. Showed off impressive hand speed. In the field, he showed good arm strength for his age with his raw velo up to 77mph. Did a good job of working downhill on ground balls and fielding out front. Showed quick and clean exchanges. Created momentum to throw and balls showed good carry across. Diego is a well-rounded young prospect that we hope to see more of in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
