11/11/2021 - Baseball Factory Fall Select Tournament at Pirate City Dillon continues to shine on the diamond at did that at Pirate City. At 3B, he displays smooth, fluid actions. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing and he maintains balance. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

07/19/2021 - All-In Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Dillon is a 3B in the class of 2022. His tools in the field are the strongest part of his game. He flashes good footwork and the ability to cover ground to both sides of his body. Fields from a low position with his hands presented out front. Clean exchanges and a loose arm action lead to good throws across the diamond. At the plate, he starts in a tall stance. Does a good job staying balanced throughout his swing. Flashes late bat whip with good hand to hip separation. Exit velo worked up to 77 MPH. Shows a good approach and works gap to gap. Dillon is a good player with 1 year of high school left to continue to develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
