08/24/2010 - College Prep Super Regional - West Lawn, PA - PM DJ is a tall, thin, 2-way player that currently projects better on the mound than in the INF as he enters his Junior year. On the hill, DJ has a live / quick arm and he repeats his delivery well. He has decent off-speed pitches and his CB has sharp break. DJ has potential on the mound, and if he can avoid wrapping his arm, and improve his command, mound effectiveness can further improve. In the INF, DJ makes plays on balls hit his way and moves okay laterally. He throws with accuracy across the diamond, and can further improve by fielding the ball further out in front of his body, softening his hands, and not standing up to throw. Offensively, DJ has a level swing and some barrel accuracy. He puts the ball in play but will need to keep his hands high, improve his strength, and shorten his swing in order to improve offensive numbers.
