07/10/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National East Dominic is a solid, athletic OF that will graduate in 2016 with a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 6.83 60 time. At the plate is where he showed best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He has strength in his swing and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. The baseball explodes off the bat when centered, creating bat spin. At the event, he was 2 for 4 and once on base he is aggressive in utilizing his foot quickness in taking the extra base. In the OF, he utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles. He reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground, displaying range. Arm strength is at a pro level as indicated by his top velocity of 90 mph. Throws are accurate with on line carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Dominic has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the top collegiate coaches and pro scouts.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
