11/10/2022 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Dominic is a 2025 RHP/3B who showcased his skills during the Baseball Factory Select Training. At 3B, starts in a relaxed position, with a good pre-pitch routine, and he creates good fielding angles. Showed good body control as he fields from an athletic fielding position with sure hands out front. Good first step reads enable him close distance on batted balls. Showed good hands and glove actions with a clean transfer. Made accurate throws across the diamond from a high 3/4 arm slot with good carry and arm velocity up to 74mph. On the mound, he showed athletic actions and a confident demeanor. Dominic separates his hands on-time and works with good direction down the mound. Attacks hitters with a FB topping out at 74mph with good tailing action, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball with plus command, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed. In 2 innings of work, he punched out 6 hitters and threw 55% of pitches for strikes. At the plate, he sets up in an upright and closed stance with high/comfortable hands. He hits into a firm front side, with a controlled stride, and is centered at contact. Made contact to all fields during his round of BP with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph. Overall, Dominic is a good player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

09/25/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Bernardino, CA Dominic is a 1B/LHP in the 2025 class. On the mound, he uses a high ¾ arm slot that is clean. He gathers over the rubber well and his hand separation his good timing. He extends to the plate well and is around the zone with his 3-pitch mix. His FB topped at 73 with tailing actions. His SL sat 63-5 with 10-4 shape. His CB complimented his SL with 57-63 velo and 11-5 shape. In the field, his feet work well and he centers his body to the baseball. Has pocket feel to his arm side. With additional practice and game repetitions, he can become a solid defender around the bag. At the plate, he begins with an open set-up and shows pull side production. Looks comfortable in his set-up and with improved balance and an inside the ball attack angle, he can learn to drive the baseball. Overall, Dominic has strong starting points to become a solid contributor at the high school level.

03/27/2022 - All-In Membership - Orange (Los Angeles), CA Dominic is a 1B/RHP in the 2025 class. In the field, He has effective feet and makes the routine play look routine. He centers his body well to the baseball and has smooth actions on DB feeds. On the mound, he can throw 3 pitches for strikes. His FB topped at 68 with arm side run. His CB sat 58-60 and 11/5 shape. His sinking CH has FB arm speed and sat 63-4. Working to gain more extension with hi arm will help generate more velocity. At the plate, he begins with an open stance. Displays the ability to get the barrel out and shows solid pull side power. With four years to continue working on his game, Dominic will develop into a fine prospect.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
