05/12/2013 - College PREP - Farmingville (Long Island), NY Dominic is a young LHP with a 5'10"/160 lbs frame. From the 3/4 arm slot, Micara has a repeatable delivery from with loose arm action. His best pitch is his 1/7 curve-ball that is most effective when he stays on top of the ball. He throws a cut fastball at 74 MPH and has a change-up with arm side run. Offensively, he is a contact type hitter that will begin generating greater bat speed with more use of his lower half. Overall, Micara projects on the mound, and with a long toss program will be a strong contender.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
