06/15/2013 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 Dominic continues to work hard, make adjustments and get better. Defensively, He flat out makes plays, not always the prettiest but always effective as he hustles to the ball before making accurate throws. He will benefit from working to better understand the different positions that a SS has to be in throughout the course of a game based off of game situation and continuing to work on improving his glove position to be out front with fingers down.On the bump, Dominic did a nice job of competing in the strike zone and pitching to contact. He will benefit from using his lower half more aggressively, speeding up his delivery and committing to one arm slot that he can properly develop. At the plate, Dominic has made improvements to his bat speed, bat path and is still doing a great job of getting to a good hitting position in his launch phase. An aggressive hitter, he makes hard contact and should continue to work on keeping his top hand through with a relaxed grip and a quiet, still head to improve tracking. Overall, Dominic plays the game hard, has consistently gotten better and should continue to work the drill package covered at camp to further develop his game in the right direction.
