12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory Holiday Classic at Pirate City
Doni is a talented middle infielder from Poughkeepsie, NY, who will graduate in 2027. He recently worked on refining his skills at the Baseball Factory Pirate City Holiday Camp. Defensively, Doni shows excellent lateral movement and smooth footwork, closing the distance on batted balls while consistently picking out hops. He fields from a low, athletic position and demonstrates a good internal clock, quickly getting rid of the ball with accurate throws that have solid carry. At the plate, Doni starts in an open stance with comfortable hands and good extension, keeping the barrel in the hitting zone for a long time. He made consistent contact during the games, reaching base with a double and a walk. Moving forward, Doni can focus on improving his overall foot speed and explosion to add even more athleticism to his game. With two more years of growth and development, Doni has a bright future ahead in baseball.

Doni continues to show a promising future on the diamond with his baseball abilities. At SS, he displays smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but he will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

Doni continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

Doni showed improvements in his game during his last workout with The Factory. He lowered 60 time to 7.9 seconds, raised arm velocity to 66 MPH and exit velocity to 70 MPH. At SS, Doni has efficient footwork, good pre-pitch actions, and he attacks the ball aggressively. He fields squarely, moves toward his target, and delivers the ball with consistency. Offensively, Doni has a square stance, he loads his hands back well, and creates rhythm. He makes contact and hits with some strength to the pull side.
07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - (MS)
Doni is a class of 2027 Shortstop prospect. In the field, he does a great job of creating a repeatable prep step to get his feet moving. Does a good job of squaring his body up to the baseball and fielding with his hands out front. Creates momentum to throw and throws are on top of the bag. At the plate, he shows a simple approach with a line drive to the middle of the field focus. Stays in good rhythm and has lots of feel for the barrel. Does a good job getting his lower 1/2 through the baseball. Doni is a well rounded young prospect.

Doni is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2027. In the field, Doni shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to his target. Long tossing can help Doni build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a level swing and drives the ball to his pull side. Doni can generate more pop off the barrel by continuing to add strength. On the mound, Doni works with a loose arm and stays inline toward the plate. He operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 58mph. Curveball sits from 48-49mph with 12-6 break. Slider sits from 52-53mph with 11-5 break. Gathering to a balance point over the rubber can help Doni improve his pitch command. With five more years to develop, Doni has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.
