03/10/2024 - National Showcase - Bronx, NY Doni continues to show a promising future on the diamond with his baseball abilities. At SS, he displays smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but he will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

08/20/2023 - National Showcase - Hartford, CT Doni continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. 12/29/2022 - National Showcase - Milton, NY Doni showed improvements in his game during his last workout with The Factory. He lowered 60 time to 7.9 seconds, raised arm velocity to 66 MPH and exit velocity to 70 MPH. At SS, Doni has efficient footwork, good pre-pitch actions, and he attacks the ball aggressively. He fields squarely, moves toward his target, and delivers the ball with consistency. Offensively, Doni has a square stance, he loads his hands back well, and creates rhythm. He makes contact and hits with some strength to the pull side.

07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - (MS) Doni is a class of 2027 Shortstop prospect. In the field, he does a great job of creating a repeatable prep step to get his feet moving. Does a good job of squaring his body up to the baseball and fielding with his hands out front. Creates momentum to throw and throws are on top of the bag. At the plate, he shows a simple approach with a line drive to the middle of the field focus. Stays in good rhythm and has lots of feel for the barrel. Does a good job getting his lower 1/2 through the baseball. Doni is a well rounded young prospect.

05/08/2022 - All-In Membership - Wappinger Falls, NY Doni is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2027. In the field, Doni shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to his target. Long tossing can help Doni build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a level swing and drives the ball to his pull side. Doni can generate more pop off the barrel by continuing to add strength. On the mound, Doni works with a loose arm and stays inline toward the plate. He operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 58mph. Curveball sits from 48-49mph with 12-6 break. Slider sits from 52-53mph with 11-5 break. Gathering to a balance point over the rubber can help Doni improve his pitch command. With five more years to develop, Doni has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
