07/17/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Rindge, NH Drew is a talented and athletic 2-way player as a 1B/LHP. With the bat, this LHH stands in the box well with centered balance and a strong/solid base. He whips the barrel through with speed and connects with some pop, engaging his lower 1/2 well. At 1B, Drew has active footwork and comes to get the GB. He moves well around the bag and adjusts to throws up and down the line. On the mound, the LHP has a repeatable delivery and pounds the zone with strikes. He works to a tall & controlled balance point and drives downhill toward the dish. FB tops out at 68 mph while showing slight tail. Curveball has 1/7 shape with sweeping action. Changeup shows to be his best pitch as it has good sink and compliments his FB well. Continuing to work on the following will help Drew take his game to another level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
