06/06/2010 - College PREP - Troy (Albany), NY Dylan is a young, thick RHP that will graduate in 2012. On the mound, Dylan has good size and good mechanics. His CB has good potential with 10-5 shape, and his CH has some A/S run. Dylan can throw all of his pitches for strikes, and with his frame, the sky could be the limit. Pitching grades can get better with more extension, and added arm strength. Offensively, Dylan has good bat speed and he finds the barrel of the bat. He has some pop in his bat and puts the ball in play. Hitting will improve with better balance, by letting the ball travel deeper, and more use of his strong lower 1/2.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
