01/17/2025 - 2025 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Dylan continues to showcase his baseball abilities on the diamond. In the outfield, he moves with smooth, fluid actions, using his active footwork to get behind the ball and play through with momentum toward his target. His glove work is clean and well-presented out front, and he moves well laterally, with range expected to improve as he enhances foot quickness. At the plate, he demonstrates a squared setup, staying inside the ball and utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. His lower half works efficiently through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side. On the mound, his fastball ranges from 74-75 mph with arm-side run, while his breaking ball features a 10/4 shape with a gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, which displays slight sink. He attacks hitters effectively, throwing strikes with all his pitches. As he continues to build arm strength through a long toss program, his stock on the mound will rise.

12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory Holiday Classic at Pirate City Dylan is a talented 2028 outfielder and right-handed pitcher from Ridgeland, SC, who worked hard to refine his skills at the Baseball Factory Pirate City Holiday Camp. Defensively, Dylan shows smooth footwork in the outfield, works behind the ball with good technique, and consistently makes routine plays. His loose arm stroke and accurate throws, with an arm velocity of up to 79 mph, demonstrate his solid defensive capabilities. On the mound, Dylan starts square to the plate with a simple, repeatable delivery. He competes well, attacking hitters with a three-pitch mix. In three innings of work, he struck out five batters and didn’t allow a hit, showcasing his control and effectiveness. At the plate, Dylan has an aggressive approach and does a good job of working counts, letting the ball get deep before making consistent contact. He reached base on a double and two walks during the games, proving his offensive capabilities. A team player with a positive attitude, Dylan has three more years to continue developing his skills, and with further growth, he has a bright future ahead of him.

08/01/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Myrtle Beach, SC Dylan is an athletic OF/RHP who showcased his skills at the All Ripken Games. In the outfield, he moves with smooth and fluid actions, using his active feet to get behind the ball and maintain momentum toward his target. His glove work is clean, presenting well out front, which allows him to cover a lot of ground efficiently. At the plate, he displays excellent balance throughout his swing, with quick hands that generate solid, consistent contact through a level swing path. On the mound, he offers a three-pitch mix, with his fastball sitting in the 70-73 mph range. His breaking ball ranges from 62-64 mph with an 11/5 shape and good depth. He also maintains arm speed on his changeup, which sits at 65-66 mph, adding an element of deception. As he builds more arm strength through a long toss program, his pitching will continue to improve. With time and dedication, Dylan has considerable potential to grow and elevate his game.

07/18/2024 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC Dylan is a solid two-way prospect (OF/RHP) in the 2028 class who really impressed scouts at the National World Series event. In the field, he is a plus defender. He works to cut down the distance and gets great reads off the bat. His field to throw actions are quick and he can prevent the free 90 on the paths (79 velo personal best). On the mound, he worked 3 innings and collected 5 strikeouts to 2 hits. He has a feel for pitching and displays solid composure. His FB sat 68-70 and his CB ranged 60-2 for strikes. At the plate, he reached base 3 out of 6 PA (2B, 2 BB). He has above average bat speed (82) and looks comfortable in the box. Scouts feel he has real potential with his athletic actions. They feel he can become a college athlete with the right training.

06/13/2024 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities on the diamond. He did show in the OF for the first time. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.35 runner. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate with carry to his target. At the plate, power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive swing path. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 2 for 4 with a 2B and sac fly. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 70 mph. Fastball shows good sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. Dylan has a big upside with time and room to progress his game.

07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Dylan is a 2028 OF/RHP prospect who recently showcased his skills at the National World Series at the JRTC. In the OF, he gets in a relaxed ready position and shows off efficient footwork, doing a good job of working behind the baseball. He has an agile first step and gets in an on-time fielding position, presenting his hands out in front and working through the baseball. His exchange is clean and he creates momentum to his targets while doing a good job of making accurate throws. He recorded a raw velo of 73 MPH. At the plate, he starts in a squared, athletic stance with high, loose hands and has a nice activated load and short stride. He's very in control in the box and he does a great job of keeping his balance centered through contact. He gets good extension on his swing and hits the ball where it is pitched, staying aggressive through contact but doing a great job of recognizing pitches out of the zone. In game action, he recorded a single and reached base one other time in 7 plate appearances. On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 slot and shows good command of the zone, firing in 24 of 39 pitches in game action for a strike. He starts squared with a simple starter step and gathers his balance over the rubber. He gets on-time separation and shows off a loose, clean arm action. He keeps his eyes on his target and gets a proper stride length to the plate with a controlled landing. He ran his FB up to 67 MPH and showed off some run with the pitch. His CB had 10-4 break and he threw his CH with FB arm speed. He allowed 2 hits over 3 innings and struck out one in game action. Dylan is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on as he continues to develop his baseball skills!

07/10/2023 - National Showcase - Greenville, SC Dylan is an athletic SS/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 64-66 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 5 years to further develop, Dylan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
