07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Dylan is a 2027 SS/RHP prospect who recently showcased his skills at the National World Series at the JRTC. At short, he shows off active footwork and range to the glove side, taking great angles to the baseball. He gets in an on-time, squared fielding position and presents his hands out in front when fielding. He has a loose, quick arm action and makes accurate throws across the diamond. He recorded a 76 MPH raw velo, improving on his previous mark in the process. At the plate, he starts in a squared, athletic stance with loose, comfortable hands and has an activated load with a squared stride toward the pitcher. He has an on-time rhythm and works through the baseball with his lower half. His swing path is on-plane and he displays solid bat speed. He has impressive coordination between his hips and hands and he makes consistent contact to the middle of the field. In game action, he reached base 4 times by walk in 6 plate appearances. On the mound, he features a 2-pitch mix from a 3/4 arm slot. He has a good presence and has a small starter step. He gathers his balance over the rubber and has a relaxed front knee. He keeps his eyes level and has a full finish with his arm action. He gets a proper stride length and his back leg works through his finish. He ran his FB up to 72 MPH and he showed off tight spin with his CB. He allowed two hits over 2 innings of game action but limited command of the strike zone gave him some problems. Dylan is an exciting prospect that we are excited to see more of as he enters his freshman year of high school!
