10/01/2017 - College PREP - Parker (Denver), CO Dylan is a tall, well-built two-way prospect with impressive athleticism for his age and frame. Presently, his legs are his best tool as his 6.99 60-yard dash time is well above HS average. This translates well in the outfield as he shows impressive range to track down long fly balls, and on the bases as he can easily take the extra base. At the dish, he shows smooth actions to load to a good bat angle and launch a level swing through the zone. He makes square contact to show line drive ability from gap to gap. His speed and athleticism combined with a quick first step and efficient angles to the ball make him a very good defensive outfielder. His arm is strong and accurate while he also gets momentum to his target to keep runners from advancing. On the hill, he shows projectability in his frame and pitches with a fastball that gets into the high 70's am 11-5 curve and a changeup with good sink. He gets some deception in his arm action and gets on top of hitters quickly with his long limbs. Getting to a consistent balance point and keeping the same rhythm down the mound will lead to more consistent stuff and control. Dylan is a talented prospect who has lots of potential on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
