06/24/2017 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Dylan continues to show progress in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.04 runner. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork in attacking balls. He works to square ground balls up but needs to play through more with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off the bat when centered with power showing best to the pull side. At the event, he was 5 for 9 with 2 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he is extremely coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

02/26/2017 - College PREP - Atlanta, GA Dylan is an athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. In the MIF, defensive abilities are solid as he displays clean / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and presents a soft / sure glove well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his turn / feeds of the double play. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he displays outstanding power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing with baseball exploding off the bat when centered, mainly to the pull side. Dylan has a lot of potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
