08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Dylan Junk is an OF prospect that recently played at the All-Ripken Games. On the mound he produced pretty good velocity. The only suggestion is that he make an adjustment on where he lands. To his credit the ball went where his foot landed for instance he would always land on the outside part of the plate towards right handers and that's exactly where his ball would end up so if he makes that adjustment, he'll be fine. The main thing that stood out with him is his ability to throw his breaking ball for a strike that was definitely a plus for him. At the plate he didn't strike out often and he was able to produce a couple of base hits driving a run and draw a walk. He's a pretty heads-up bass runner as he stole two bases over the weekend as well. Overall, he's a solid ball player that coaches should definitely keep an eye on.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
