01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Dylan continues to shine with his baseball abilities at the All-America Pre-Season Tournament. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 2.31 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Feet are active, working in line to his target as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Glove action is soft / sure and he sticks balls well in zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process and is a wall behind the plate. At the plate, hands works inside the baseball as he utilizes all fields. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. He has strength in his swing (82 mph exit velocity) through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 4 for 7 with 2 BB.

10/29/2023 - National Showcase - Tiverton (Providence), RI Dylan is strong C/3B in the 2024 class. Behind the plate, he shows active feet and agile movements. Stays square to his target and displays strong glove presentation. Tracks the ball well and keeps his thumb under the pitch. Transfers are clean and creates strong throws at 2.16 pop with accuracy to shut down the run game. Blocks well and creates a solid spine angle. On the dirt, he has great pre-pitch movements and centers his body to the baseball. Uses numerous arm slots based upon his defensive zone and has the trust factor to make the routine play look routine. Working to sink his hips in his fielding position with allow for a glove out in front feel. At the plate, he is short and compact. Has a middle approach and his barrel is on the baseball. Has great timing and smooth actions. Overall, Dylan is a player to watch in the 2024 class and can help a college program next fall.

06/15/2023 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.09 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

03/26/2023 - National Showcase - Marlborough (Boston), MA Dylan is a 2024 C/3B prospect from Warwick, RI. At 3B, he shows off active, efficient feet and has good range to the backhand. He squares himself off when fielding and does a great job of presenting his hands out in front. He does well to play through the baseball and creates momentum to his target. His exchange is clean and he gets the ball out quickly with a short arm action, including on double play feeds. At C, he also displays good footwork and movements. He has strong hands and presents his glove hand out front for a good target to his pitchers. His exchange is clean and he makes consistent, online throws to his target. Does a nice job of blocking balls in the dirt. At the plate, he starts with an open stance. He gets an on-time stride and good load. He shows off a smooth rhythm with his lower half and creates a good bat angle. He displays fast bat speed and a lot of intent with his movements/approach. He is a gap-to-gap hitter with a repeatable, consistent swing. Excited to see Dylan in the future!

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
