07/23/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays proper footwork and moves well laterally. Hands are clean and presents well out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but will benefit by playing through with his body. Range will continue to increase as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He shows plus barrel accuracy and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive path. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

03/26/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Ashburn (DC), VA Dylan is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2021. In the middle infield, he displays athletic actions/routes as he fields the ball in a low/square position. He has a good DP feel as he gets rid of the ball with a clean/quick exchange. On the mound, this RHP gathers over the rubber and delivers from a hi 3/4 arm slot. Arm action is clean as he works in line towards home plate. With the bat, Dylan gets his hands quickly to the ball. He swings level through the zone as he drives pitches back up through the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
