11/07/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Dylan showed a spike in velocity to 73 MPH and improved command on the mound during his last workout in Nashville. He has a clean arm circle, good balance over the rubber, and on-time hand separation. He keeps his eyes on target, throws strikes with all pitches, and he rotates through completely to his target. Arm action is good, mechanics are solid, Dylan just needs to continue to strengthen his arm and tap into more lower body.

10/25/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Nashville, TN Dylan is a RHP/2B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. On the mound, Dylan gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with his chest over his front knee. Dylan shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 68mph. Breaking ball sits from 53-54mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits from 57-58mph with tailing action. Taking a smaller rock step can help Dylan be more controlled throughout his delivery. In the field, Dylan shows active footwork and gets into a square position. He fields the ball out in front of his body and has a clean exchange, making accurate throws to his target. Dylan can makes more plays by increasing his lateral range. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance with center balance. He shows fluid rhythm and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, producing solid line drives. Taking a square stride toward the pitcher can help Dylan barrel up more baseballs. With four more years to develop, Dylan has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Defensively, Dylan has quick/fluid feet, he fields low and athletically, and his hands are soft. He has a good 1st step to the ball, his exchange is clean, and he throws with carry and accuracy to his target. On the mound, this RHP has good balance and a clean arm circle. He separates his hands on time, lands with good direction toward the plate, and he throws strikes Offensively, Dylan has a square stance, he loads well, and stands in with solid balance. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
