01/18/2013 - 2013 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Dylon is an athletic 2015 dual-position player. At the Under Armour All America Pre-Season Tournament, the shortstop prepped well with his feet, and showed soft, sure hands. Lateral range is solid, his footwork is efficient, and he plays through aggressively. His arm is average, but his exchange is clean and he is very accurate. Foot speed needs to increase for range to increase. Offensively, his approach is simple. Hands are direct, and his lower half works properly. Tracks pitches and has a nice feel for the barrel. He needs to shorten up his stride some and let pitches travel deeper into the hitting zone. On the mound, Dylon attacks the zone and pitches to contact. Induces a lot of ground balls with a running fastball in the 80-82 mph range, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball, and changeup with arm side movement. Would like to see him use his changeup more often. Has a nice idea on the mound—just needs to continue to strengthen his arm. He still has three high school seasons ahead of him, so he has a chance be become a solid college prospect.
