06/23/2018 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Ean is a tall and lanky 2020 LHP prospect. On the bump, Ean gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and has a loose arm action. He shows good tempo in his delivery, and challenges hitters on both sides of the plate. Continuing to develop his secondary pitches and working north to south will allow him to pound the bottom half of the zone. At the plate, Ean starts in a tall stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and hits off a firm front side. Continuing to keep his head down at contact and attacking the inside part of the ball will prevent him from opening up his front hip at contact. Ean is a hard worker and was determined to get better every day. Ean is a hard worker and will continue to improve with experience.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
