06/03/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida Edgardo is an athletic OF who shows as a top prospect on the diamond. In the field, Edgardo shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a quick exchange and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this LHH shows an advanced approach through an athletic setup. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He generates fast bat speed through the zone, leading to loud contact to all fields. Overall, Edgardo is a talented prospect who will be among the top in his class.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
