11/04/2021 - Baseball Factory Select Training at Pirate City Eli is a 2B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Select Training at Pirate City. In the field, Eli fields the ball out in front of his body and has a clean exchange. He gains ground well on his throws and keeps them accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Eli field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance with comfortable hands. He gets into his load on time and works through a level swing, spraying line drives to all fields. Eli can create more consistent contact by taking a shorter stride. On the mound, Eli gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Eli operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 57mph. Breaking ball sits from 49-51mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits from 52-54mph. Extending through his release can help Eli improve his pitch command and velocity. With five more years to develop, Eli has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

10/03/2021 - All-In Membership - Trenton, NJ Eli is a 2B/OF prospect who will graduate in 2026. In the field, Eli shows efficient footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He makes the routine plays and has a clean exchange, making on-line throws to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Eli field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and swings with intent, producing solid contact. Eli can barrel up more baseballs by working through a shorter swing path. With five more years to develop, Eli has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
