Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Elias is a 3B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City. In the field, Elias makes the routine plays and fires strong throws across the diamond. Presenting his glove to the ball sooner can help Elias field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and engages his lower half well. He shows plus barrel control and produces solid contact. Elias can create more quality contact by working a smoother load into his swing. On the mound, Elias gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline toward the plate. Elias operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 79mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 63-65mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits from 62-64mph with cutting action. Finishing with his chest over his front knee can help Elias improve his pitch command. Overall, Elias is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
