07/27/2023 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Elias is a long and lean 5ft 11/180 C in the 2025 class. Behind the plate, he shows great blocking skills. He tucks his chin well and covers the 5-hole. Sacrifices his body and works hard to keep the ball in front. Has a 3qtr slot to register a 2.20 pop. Has the makings of a great receiver with strong starting points. Working to sit lower in his stance and relax his wrist will assist in keeping the strike zone. Gaining a higher arm slot will allow him to throw the top of the baseball and throw downhill and use his strong arm to create a 2.0 on the bag. At the plate, he is a tough out. He battles and will not be beat with 2-strikes. Can spray the baseball to all fields and understands the strike zone.

04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Fairfield (Sacramento), CA Elias is an athletic catcher in the 2025 class. Behind the plate, he has a relaxed set-up. Show quick feet and agile movements. Keeps his eyes behind the baseball and the ball stick to his glove. He replaces his feet with his knees on blocks and generates a great angle to secure the ball. Clocked at 2.34 with a short arm action. Working to throw the top of the baseball will improve his accuracy. At the plate, he shows quick hands and can spray the baseball all over the field. Creates line drive production by keeping his balance inside his feet and using a quiet head and proper hip engagement. Overall, Elias is a player to watch in the 2025 class.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
