Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 2B/RHPPosition Projection

05/05/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Boise, ID Eligh is a young and upcoming 2B/RHP in the 2029 class. He recently participated at the Boise, ID Baseball Factory event and showed scouts his starting points. Defensively, he shows an accurate arm and a quick release. His arm slot is close to a high 3 qtr. and he releases out in front of his eyes with balance. Working to gain ground to the ball and play lower to the ground with his legs will allow him to pick his hop and create soft hands. On the mound, he shows a solid set-up. His arm action is repeatable with great actions. He is balanced over the rubber and extends with his release. His FB topped out at 42 and his CB ranged 36-41. At the plate, he begins in a crouched stance and uses a short stride. He hits off a firm front side and generates a line drive approach. Scouts like his finish and how he keeps his eyes on the barrel. Overall, Eligh is a young player and with time and maturity, he can develop into a fine player

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
