08/15/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - WALDORF', MD Elijah is a solid 3B who will graduate in 2024. At 3B, he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present earlier and more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate as he gets rid of the baseball quickly but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. With 4 years to further develop, Elijah has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
