06/13/2024 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series This 2029 grad out of Honolulu, Hawaii performed well at the Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series. This is our third time seeing Elijah and he upgraded over previous results in almost every category we measure. Speed improved 1/3 of a second in the 60 yard dash now coming in at 7.70 seconds. Grip strength up to 101 pounds on his left hand and 98 on his right which puts him at 7th highest in the country for the 2029 class. In the outfield, he works behind fly balls and shows quick, clean hands on glove to hand transfer. During game play, he got on base all 5 times he stepped to the plate with 3 walks, a triple, single and 3 stolen bases. He showed gap-to-gap pop with exit velocities as high as 79mph. On the mound, he topped at 61mph and showed composure throughout his two inning stint. We would like to see him continue to work on his breaking ball and start tinkering with a changeup as well. We would like to see him eliminate leaning back with his weight during his leg lift pre-pitch to assist in him getting on top of his pitches more consistently. Overall, Elijah is a sturdy looking athlete who gets it done on the field.
