05/21/2023 - National Showcase - Jacksonville , FL Elliot continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show in the OF for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.94 runner. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is firm and presents out front. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in tracking down balls. Throws are accurate with carry (80 mph velocity) but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (92 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Elliot is a young 2025 grad that plays 3B/RHP. At 3B, Elliot works hard getting good jumps at 3B especially to the backhand side. As he fields the ball he works to square it up making a clean exchange and creating momentum towards his target. His arm action is short and loose as he gets rid of the ball delivering the throw online with accuracy. Hitting, Elliott starts in a tall and open stance striding square to launch the swing. He uses his lower half well to create fast bat speed resulting in hard, line drive contact. On the mound, Elliot brings a 2-pitch mix with a FB/CH combo. Mechanically he shows good balance throughout the delivery allowing him to deliver his FB with good arm side sink. Elliott will continue to grow and develop, we look forward to seeing his progress.

07/18/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Elliot is an athletic 3B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach, flashing gap-to-gap pop. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 64-66 mph with tailing action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows a feel for pitch with sinking action. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 5 years to further develop, Elliot has a lot of potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

02/09/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Gainesville, FL Elliot showed well at 3B and on the mound during his last workout with The Factory. At 3rd, Elliot has good range, active feet, and he plays through the ball well. He plays low, fields cleanly, and has a strong/accurate arm across the diamond. On the mound, Elliot has good balance, on-time separation, and good glove side lead. He has good arm strength, solid direction toward home, and he competes in the zone. Offensively, Elliot has an open stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He makes hard/consistent contact gap to gap, and he uses his lower 1/2. Solid abilities can continue to improve with work on the following.

02/10/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Gainesville, FL Elliot is a thin 2-way player who plays 3B and RHP. Defensively, Elliot has soft/sure hands, active feet, and he fields in a square position. He presents his glove well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with momentum and accuracy from a quick arm action to his target. On the mound, Elliot keeps his eyes on target, he separates on time, and he stays balanced throughout. He works well to his balance point and competes in the zone with his pitches. Offensively, Elliot has a tall/open stance, good balance, and a still head. He has fast bat speed, a consistent/direct barrel, and he uses his lower body. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
