06/17/2010 - Omaha Pro Select Training and Tournament - Week 1 Elliott is a very long, wiry, athletic player that plays 1B and LHP. On the mound, Elliott has athletic actions, works in a straight line, and is down in the zone. He can throws his CB for strikes, he pitches to contact, and he stays over the rubber well. He also fields his position well and shows his athleticism. Elliott has potential on the mound, and with added arm speed and velocity, his stock on the mound can rise. At 1B, Elliott makes plays and he keeps the balls in front of his body. He delivers the ball accurately to his target but will need added reps and make better use of his lower 1/2 in order for defensive abilities to improve. Offensively, Elliott has a level swing path and is a contact hitter. He has good bat speed and has the ability to drive the baseball. Less barrel noise and improved knowledge of the zone could help average hitting grades become better. He is a great communicator, a hard worker, and it is evident he really loves the game.
