01/14/2022 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Jackie Robinson Training Complex(Ages 14-18) Eric is a smart SS/OF in the class of 2024 out of Crossville, TN. At SS, he showed the ability to get square to the baseball to make the routine play. He fielded cleanly with a quick exchange to make accurate throws/feeds with carry to his intended targets. At the plate, he did a good job of keeping his head level throughout his swing to pick up pitches and find the barrel consistently. He swings with great intent and works his bat path on a level plane with the pitch. Eric could benefit from programs/drills such as long toss, one handed infield plays, strength training, speed & agility.

11/07/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Eric showed nice improvements in his overall game during his last workout in Tennessee. He lowered 60 time, raised arm strength, and showed spikes in offensive and defensive numbers. At SS, Eric takes good angles to the ball, he gives good effort, and makes plays consistently. He keeps the ball in front of his body, his exchange is clean, and he throws with direction across the diamond. In the OF, Eric has athletic actions, and a good 1st step to the ball. He fields aggressively, his exchange is quick, and he throws with momentum and accuracy to his cut off man. Offensively, Eric stands in the box tall, he keeps his head on the ball, and makes contact. He swings on plane and uses his lower body.

05/28/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Murfreesboro (Nashville), TN Eric is a RHP who will graduate in 2024. On the mound, this righty keeps his eyes on target and delivers from a 3/4 arm slot. He throws a FB that comes in at (50-52)mph as he works in line towards home plate. With the stick, Eric displays a balanced setup and takes aggressive cuts through the zone. He drives pitches on a line and creates consistent contact each pitch. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
