07/15/2010 - Cape Cod Training 2010 - Session 2 Eric is a young (2014) SS with an average frame that shows projection as he continues to physically mature, filling out. Feet are active but needs to be more aggressive in coming to get, playing through the baseball with his body. Glove action is soft, clean but deep due to feet stopping through the fielding process. He utilizes two hands well together, displaying a clean transfer exchange with throws showing accuracy but needs to get on a long toss program to aid in further developing more arm strength and carry. Offensively, Panah shows a balanced approach through a level swing path as he works to keep hands inside the ball, but has some mechanical flaws that are hindering him from reaching his full potential with grades improving with instruction and adjustments. With 4 years to further develop, Panah has abilities with a lot of time and room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
