10/19/2014 - College PREP - El Paso, TX Eric continues to develop. Defensively, he works quickly moving from right to left through the ground ball. He picks out the right hop and has a quick exchange to throw. He has smooth actions and gains ground toward his target. This LHH shows an aggressive approach as he's looking to swing once he steps into the box. He gets good extension through his finish and drives the ball to all parts of the field. Eric will continue to shine as he develops and matures.

11/08/2012 - Baseball Factory Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Eric continues to show that he has above average fundamentals. He shows athletic actions and utilizes his body well. In the field he shows sure hands with quick active feet, range is excellent and uses his body well to gain arm strength. At the plate, set up is athletic as he displays a short stride and strong load. Quality contact mainly to the pull side, he will need to continue to work on letting the ball travel so he can utilize the opposite field. Overall, Eric shows to be a special player, he is a hard worker and has a great attitude which will take him very far.

09/22/2012 - Interactive Video Program - Mesa (Phoenix), AZ Erick is a very talented young SS. In the field, Erick shows well above average ability with solid fundamentals. He has very light feet with smooth actions and great rhythm. His fielding position is athletic with an excellent presentation of his glove. At the plate, Erick has a great feel for hitting. He displays excellent rhythm at the plate with great hip coil and balance. He uses his lower half well and put a quality swing on each pitch. With 2 years to develop before high school, Erick shows to be a special player.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
