01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 Erik is a strong, athletic, RHP with very good stuff. His FB touches 89 MPH, and his off-speed pitches compliment it well. Erik pitches in good rhythm, has a good power position, and drives well with his legs. He gets good extension on his pitches and can work both sides of the plate. Erik can throw all 4 pitches for strikes and has a high upside. Improved command, a more consistent release point, and a smoother arm stroke will all help Erik's stock on the mound continue to rise. He will make a great addition to a college baseball program.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
