12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic Ethan is a tall 6ft/113 OF/RHP in the 2029 class. He recently displayed a great effort and attitude at the West Coast Winter Classic. Coaches loved working with him and he showed up to the park everyday with great energy. In the field, he gains an athletic position and creates relaxed motions. He works behind the baseball well and is on-time to field. Arm slot is a high 3 qtr. release and his throws are accurate with life at 71 velo. On the mound, he has a solid feel for pitching and a bright future. He uses a two-pitch mix. His FB has excellent movement at 65-8 and is aggressive in the zone. His CB ranged 55-7 and he liked to get RHs to chase it low and away. At the plate, he has a projectable swing. He has athletic feel and works to stay on the pitch for as long as possible. Working to gain a squared stride will assist his ability to maximize plate coverage. Overall, Ethan is a great kid and is very coachable. Scouts are eager to witness his development at future events.

09/24/2023 - National Showcase - Rosemont (Chicago), IL Ethan is a tall and lean 5 ft 10/105 RHP in the 2029 class. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber well and his take away is on time. Arm action is a loose high 3 qtr slot and gains extension on his follow through. Stays balanced throughout his delivery and his front side stays closed. His FB hit 66 and sat in the 64-5 range. His CB shaped at 11-5 and created early breaking action. His CH had feel at 59-60 and provided sink. Working to keep his elbow above his shoulder with establish a consistent release point. At the plate, he tracks the ball well and is balanced in his set up. Uses a short stride and stays inside his feet. Creates a level path and keeps he barrel in the zone. Overall, scouts like where Ethan is at in his development and are excited to witness his growth at future BF events.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
