08/26/2023 - National Showcase - Salt Lake City, UT Ethan continues to shine with his baseball abilities on the diamond. He did show for the first time behind the plate. In the OF, he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in the 2.55 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

11/18/2022 - 2022 Baseball Fall Prospects Tournament (MS) Ethan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. 08/08/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - American Fork, UT Ethan is an OF/3B in the 2027 class. In the OF, he gains an athletic fielding position and has pocket feel. His feet move well in his attack angles. Working on his range will assist him taking away the big hit. On the dirt, he has very soft hands and advanced feeds on his turns. Feet are fluid and breaks down into an athletic fielding position. Feeds come from a high ¾ slot and with more momentum, he can add carry on his throws. At the plate, he generates consistent contact and can use the whole field. Starts tall and gets into his backside. His rhythm will become smoother when his body matures and scouts look for him to add more power. Overall, Ethan is just scratching the surface of becoming an excellent player.

07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory Los Angeles All Star Experience (Ages 12-14) Ethan is a 3B/OF prospect in the class of 2027. In the field, he showed clean actions at both positions. Did a very good job activating his feet through pre pitch steps. Fielded from a low and out front position. Did an excellent job creating momentum to throw and delivered strikes all weekend. At the plate, he started in a square and tall stance. Showed off a very advanced approach that worked gap-to-gap and led to him hitting a single in game action. Showed very quick hand speed and good feel for the barrel. Ethan is a very talented young prospect that has a bright future; we hope to see him again soon.

05/28/2022 - All-In Membership - American Fork, UT Ethan is a lean OF/3B who will graduate in 2027. At 3B, he displays fluid / smooth actions. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
