07/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - St. Petersburg (Tampa), FL Ethan has turned himself into a very good prospect. He is athletic in all of his actions and this is reflected in his numbers as well -- 88 mph arm and 6.95 60 as a rising freshman is very impressive. He is one to watch.

06/25/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (MS) Ethan continues to shine on the diamond. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. At 2B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft / sure and presents out front. He moves well laterally and covers ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter and has improved hitting / power potential from both sides. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 71-73 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

05/31/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Jupiter, FL Ethan is a SS/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth to load and drives through well with his lower half. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
