08/08/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Ethan is a well-built 1B/LHP prospect who shows ability at both positions. He has a live arm on the mound that gives his stuff good movement. He gets to a good balance point over the rubber to work in line to the plate. His arm stays in sync with his body throughout the delivery, helping him hit spots with his mid 70's fastball that shows tailing action. At the plate, Ethan has a patient approach, making pitchers throw him a pitch he can drive. He shows good tracking ability, picking up pitches early and not chasing out of the zone. Loading to a powerful bat angle will help him whip the bat through the zone and make hard contact to pick up more base hits. Defensively, he has a clean exchange on the backhand and understands positioning. He also throws from a good arm slot at 1B. Ethan is an intriguing prospect with some size and projectability, and we look forward to watching progress.
