12/01/2023 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Evan continues to impress as he recently showed off his skills at the All-American Tournament. The 2024 SS/RHP shows off an impressive arm on the mound and in the field, recording a raw velo of 89 MPH. He moves efficiently to the baseball and takes good angles to the ball at short and does a nice job of working through the baseball when fielding out in front. He is able to make accurate throws from multiple arm slots. He has a nice approach at the plate and you can tell he is very comfortable in the box, with a small load and controlled stride. He has good balance and lets his lower half work through the ball. He stays on-plane and compact with his swing and uses all fields with a line drive approach. He recorded a max exit velo of 84 MPH and reached base in 3 of 7 plate appearances of game action, showing off good discipline and the ability to take a walk when it was presented. On the mound, he has a big arm and ran his FB up to 88 MPH from an overhand slot. He has a very repeatable delivery and stays balanced with a relaxed knee lift. His frontside gets good acceleration and he does a great job of keeping his shoulders in line to his target when driving to the plate while getting a lot out of his lower half. His SL is an impressive out pitch that has late 11-5 break. He struck out 5 in 2 innings of game action and worked hard to stay around the zone with his offerings. Evan will have the opportunity to play at the next level!
