Evan is a big and strong 6ft 2/185 catcher in the 2025 class. Behind the plate, he has the intangibles of becoming a next level catcher. His feet are in synch with his body and he stays centered to his target. Shows flexibility in both stances and his pocket has feel. His catch to release actions are clean and he gains a high 3 qtr. slot for on the bag feeds at 2.16. While the arm strength is excellent at 87 velo, scouts feel if he stays in his legs more, he can easily move into the sub 2.0 range. At the plate, he is aggressive and swings with intent to do damage. He has fast hands at 83 exit velo while maintaining excellent body control. His timing is smooth and he uses a direct path to drive the baseball to the pull side. Once he matures as a hitter, scouts feel he will become a next level hitter. Overall, Evan is a force on the field and has a bright future in the game.
