06/17/2010 - Omaha Pro Select Training and Tournament - Week 1 Evan showed improvements in his game during his time in Omaha, in particular with his hitting mechanics and his arm. He is an athletic and coachable player that really gets after it during training sessions and games. Defensively, Evan presents his glove well and fields the ball cleanly. He moves well laterally and he makes plays on balls hit his way. Evan works the double play well, and if he can soften his hands a bit, and add arm strength, defensive grades can continue to improve. Offensively, Evan has a good set-up and a good idea of the zone. He has good bat speed, and he hits the ball hard when he lets it travel. If Evan can avoid jumping at the ball, and add physical strength, we could see a spike in his offensive tool grades.
