01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Evan is a 2027 OF who showcased his skills at the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. In the OF, he starts with active feet and he works behind the baseball. He works with good direction and he fields with sure hands out front. Made accurate throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, with a loose arm stroke, and an arm velocity up to 68mph. At the plate, he hits from a crouched and even stance with comfortable hands. Has fluid rhythm to his swing and showed good barrel control. He hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 71mph. During the games, Evan reached base 4 times with 2 singles, a walk, and reached on an error. With 4 1/2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Evan making huge strides on the baseball diamond.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Evan is a class of 2027 OF prospect. He features an athletic frame with room to grow as he matures. In the outfield, he starts in a good athletic position helping him cover space. He does a good job creating angles to the baseball. Shows a good ability to get reads off the bat and takes good 1st steps to the baseball. Makes accurate throws into the infield. Could benefit greatly from a structured throwing program to increase arm velocity. At the plate, this right-handed hitter starts in a tall stance. Does a good job creating a consistent launch by having an on time stride combined with a good load. Shows an advanced approach with a middle of the field focus. Hits line drives to all parts of the field with help from his barrel staying on plane for an extended period of time. Showed exit velos as high as 76 MPH. Evan is a talented young prospect with multiple years left to continue his development.

08/14/2022 - All-In Membership - Fort Lauderdale, FL Evan is a class of 2027 OF/1B prospect. In the field, he does a good job of getting his feet moving with a simple prep step. Does a good job creating angles and working downhill on ground balls. Gets good reads off the bat and takes good routes towards the baseball. Keeps his momentum going and uses a low funnel to create good throws. In the OF, he showed ability to work behind/through the baseball with good momentum towards his target. He fields from an athletic/low fielding position with a clean transfer off his left foot. Made accurate/on-line throws into infield with an arm velocity up to 63mph. From the right side of the plate, he starts with an upright and even stance. Shows a balanced swing, with a simple approach, and tracks pitches well. Did a good job getting loaded and into his backside as he hits into a firm frontside. A flat barrel path, with good extension out front, enables him to spray line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 66mph. Evan is a well rounded prospect with anther year remaining to develop his abilities before heading to high school.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
