07/28/2015 - College PREP - Raleigh, NC Everett is a lean OF that will graduate in 2017. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 6.97 60 time. In the OF, he plays hard and takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls as he reads balls well off the bat, displaying range. He is aggressive in attacking and playing through ground balls and works to get behind balls playing through with momentum to his target. At the plate, he shows a squared / balanced approach. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power number will increase as he works to use his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Everett has abilities with time and room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
