04/24/2016 - College PREP - Phoenix, AZ Fabian is an athletic OF who will graduate in 2016. At the plate is where he shows best through a squared setup. Hands are loose and work to and through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and makes consistent hard contact, mainly to the pull side. Power will increase as he loads more and works to utilize his lower half more efficiently. In the OF, feet are active as he attacks ground balls, playing through well. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Working to get behind fly balls more to play through with momentum to his target, will aid in improving defensive abilities. Continuing to increase foot quickness will aid in improving range. Fabian has abilities with a lot of room to continue to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
