02/19/2023 - National Showcase - Keizer (Salem), OR Gabriel is a 2025 OF prospect with an athletic frame at 6'4" 220 pounds. In the OF, he displays quick feet and solid range to both the glove side and backhand. He gets in a nice, low fielding position and has firm hands when fielding his position. He does a great job of getting behind the baseball and has a quick exchange that allows him to make strong, accurate throws to his targets. Works hard to be active pre-pitch and get a good first step. At the plate, he features an athletic stance with a squared stride towards the pitcher. His hips are really impressive and he jumps all over the ball with a direct, on-plane bat path. Exit velo is up as he recorded a high of 99 MPH. He has a smooth rhythm and impressive bat speed and he does a great job of getting his lower half involved. Works hard to have a consistent load and keep his head back. He is a pull hitter now with potential to work gap-to-gap. Gabriel should be an impressive hitter at the next level!

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Gabriel continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities during the Pre-season All American event. At the plate, he shows pro level hitting / power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (98 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with plus power to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He utilizes his quick/aggressive feet as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. He displays smooth / clean actions with hands / feet working well together through the fielding process. Gabriel has a high skill set and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Exclusive College Recruiting Program Gabe is a physical 2025 Corner OF prospect from the state of Oregon who has very high potential to his game. An imposing figure in the RH box Coltman regularly connects with exit velocities in the upper 90 MPH range and has reached 106 MPH. His power plays from the big part of the field to the pull side and projects true all-fields HR power potential. Coltman bring middle of the order offensive impact with the combination of an advanced hit tool and top of the scale power. As impressive as his offensive potential is Coltman is not a bat-only prospect in fact he is a potential RF candidate who runs a current 7.4 60-yard dash at 6’4 220 lbs. and has 10-yard sprint times in the low 1.6 second range, his arm strength is currently at 87 MPH and projects to an above average tool for him. Athletic, physical with impact potential Coltman is a very high follow for the 2025 recruiting class.

10/05/2022 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic (2025) Gaberial is a talented OF in the 2025 class. Has the size (6ft 4/215) and power to attract the attention of high caliber schools. He has the make up of being coachable, solid work ethic and understanding how important being a great teammate can affect a team in a positive way. In the field, his arm (84 velo) is plus tool that can shut down the extra base. His release is quick and he is accurate to his targets. Ball flight is on a line and provides depth. Runs well for size (7.46) and working on his footwork and reads will help with his angles and routes. In the box, he simply hits the ball hard (90 exit velo). Has line drive power with electric bat speed. Hands and hips are in sync and his balance is centered. Showed solid in game at bats with 3 hits in 7 official trips to the plate. Scouts were impressed with his skill set and are eager to see how his game grows over time.

09/11/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Keizer (Salem), OR Grabriel continues show as a top prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities are now well above average as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with on line carry (87 mph velocity) on his throws. At the plate, hitting abilities are now outstanding with pro level power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. He has strength in his swing (93 mph exit velocity) with baseball exploding off the bat when centered. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

02/21/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Keizer (Salem), OR Gabriel is an impressive OF in the 2025. In the field, he continues to shine and demonstrate how he can play above grade level. His feet are active and moves behind the baseball well. Arm strength (82 velo) and accuracy were again on display during the workout. Can work to establish a more fluid fielding position and incorporate his legs to generate even more carry on his throws. At the plate, he swings with great intent and flashes pull side and opposite field power (87 exit velo). Scouts love his set up and the rhythm of his timing. His direct path and barrel awareness creates solid hard contact. Working to stay inside his feet while transferring his energy will prevent a slight drift and increase his ability to recognize spin sooner. Overall, Gabriel is very talented and scouts are confident he will make a strong contribution to his high school program this spring.

01/17/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Glendale (Phoenix), AZ Gaberial is a tall athletic (6’4/200) OF prospect in the class of 2025. He impressed scouts recently with his projectable frame and ability between the lines. Defensively, his arm is an asset (80 velo) and has accuracy and carry to compliment his arm strength. His feet are effective and he centers his body to the baseball. He is solid on the routine play with room to expand his defensive awareness as his development continues. At the plate, he has smooth rhythm with fast hands (82 exit speed). He has major power potential. Once he harnesses his swing and centers his balance, his barrel awareness will improve. Gaberial is a future star who will be receiving numerous looks from college recruiters very early in his career.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
