11/10/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Davie, FL Gabriel is a young, 2-way player who plays SS and OF. In the INF, Gabriel has a presentable glove, efficient footwork, and soft hands. He works around the ball well, makes plays consistently, and throws with accuracy from a loose arm circle to his target. In the OF, Gabriel reads the ball well off the bat, he works behind fly balls well, and has a loose/accurate arm to his cut off man. Offensively, Gabriel has a square stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has fast bat speed, he can hit to all fields, and he uses his lower body well. Overall skills can continue to improve with work on the following.

At SS, Gabriel has quick/active footwork, soft hands, and he fields in a low/square position. He works around the ball well, funnels properly, and has a long/accurate arm across the diamond. In the OF, Gabriel reads the ball off the bat well, he takes good angles, and has a clean exchange with accuracy to his cut off man. At the plate, Gabriel has an open stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He keeps a still head, gets good extension through the ball, and uses his lower body. Overall skills can get better with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
