06/22/2013 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Gage continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a superior runner at 6.65. Feet are quick / athletic as he moves well laterally, displaying range in the MIF. He works to square balls up while displaying soft / clean hands. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed through a level swing path. Barrel accuracy is a plus with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 73-74 mph. Mental makeup is a plus as he very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. With his athleticism and positive attitude, he will be a great addition to a college program next fall.
