06/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida This athletic 3B shows a tremendous future on the diamond. A RHH, hands are quick (92 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up. He has strength in his swing with power showing best to the pull side. At 3B, he takes a quick first step (6.9 60 time) and has plus lateral range. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. DP turns are quick with zip on his throws. Mac has a ton of upside and possesses the skill set that will play at a very high level.

01/21/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Tallahassee, FL Mac is a strong built SS/C prospect who has an above average skill set on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Mac has an athletic, open stance with a centered balance. He has fluid rhythm with a smooth load and square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Mac shows explosive bat speed with strong hands and a short, direct swing path. He consistently gets extension at contact landing the barrel to the baseball. Mac is a line drive type hitter who can drive the ball to each gap with power. At SS, Mac plays with effective pre-pitch actions and active footwork as he takes great angles. He presents his glove and fields the ball in an athletic position. Mac has a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from an over the top arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball showing strong, accurate throws across the diamond. Behind the plate, Mac plays the position athletically moving with quiet, agile actions. He presents a low target and receives the ball with soft hands. He does a nice job keeping everything in front of him. Mac has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action. He has good momentum through his release showing consistent throws down to 2B. Overall, Mac is a talented prospect who has the ability to make an impact at the next level.

12/06/2015 - National Tryout Plus - Pensacola, FL Mac continues to show positive growth and development. Most recently at 2B, his hands worked well out in front and he got his body into position to make plays on-time. He was quick with his feeds on double plays and he had good footwork around the bag on his turns. Behind the dish, he receives the ball well and presents a low target to pitchers. He was accurate with his throws and flashed a pop as low as 2.27. There is still room to grow, physically, and his defensive game will continue to grow with more reps and agility drills. Offensively, he was a line-drive type hitter that worked his backside through the swing. He got his hands activated on-time, and his overall approach was sound. In all - Mac is just now a freshman and we look forward to tracking his further growth with the current upward trend.

07/31/2014 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown Mac is a hard working SS/C that looks to improve his game any chance he gets. Defensively Mac is a very intelligent baseball player, and is constantly communicating, exactly what a SS/C needs to do. To improve Mac needs to focus on fielding the baseball out front and his arm strength. At the plate Mac displays a very balanced, and mechanically sound swing, although he struggles at time with proper contact points. Letting the baseball travel into the hitting zone will allow him to make better contact more often, and also give him a little more pop.

02/16/2014 - National Tryout - Orlando, FL Mac continues to work hard at his game. This time showing as a SS/C. Defensively at SS, he shows good ranges and works around the ground ball. He fields the ball cleanly and delivers accurate throws across the diamond. Behind the dish, he sits in low with flexion. Quick footwork allows him to work around the ball in the dirt. He centers the ball and deadens it off of his chest. At the plate, this RH swinger is aggressive and steps up to hit. He shows plus barrel accuracy and drives the ball to all parts of the field. Mac is young and has a lot of time to develop his game.

01/26/2014 - Interactive Video Program - Delray Beach, FL Mac is 2-way player as a 3B/C. Defensively at 3B, he is light on his feet and shows good prep. He works into a square fielding position, fields the ball cleanly and makes the plays athletically. Behind the dish, Mac sits in well and looks the ball into his mitt. On his throws down to 2B; he has a clean exchange, gains ground toward 2B and delivers accurate throws. At the plate, Mac displays an open setup as he gets back into a loaded position. He waits for his pitch and hits it on a line. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

2. Play through ball

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
